Scepsis, an ancient city in the interior of the Troas.
Neleus of Scepsis obtained the manuscripts of Aristotle and Theophrastus. The manuscripts were hidden in a vault from the Attalids of Pergamon who were interested to include these in their library. Apellicon around 100 BC obtained these manuscripts from the family of Neleus which were damaged after many years in an not optimal environment. They were sent to Athens and then after Sulla captured Athens to Rome.
