Psophis (Ψωφίς). A town in the northwest of Arcadia, on the river Erymanthus, is said to have been originally called Phegia (Pausan. viii. 24, 2). It sided with the Aetolians against the Achaeans, but was taken 219 BC by Philip, king of Macedonia, who was then in alliance with the Achaeans.
