Olympiada (Greek: Ολυμπιάδα, named after Olympias; Slavic: Ракита, Rakita) is a village located 12 km northwest of the town Ptolemaida, in Kozani peripheral unit, West Macedonia, Greece. It is part of the municipal unit Ptolemaida within the municipality Eordaia. It is situated at an altitude of 670 meters. The postal code is 50200, while the telephone code is +30 24630. As of the 1991 census, the population was 889.[1]
First mentioned in an Ottoman defter of 1481, the village, then known as Rakita, had forty-five households and produced vines, honey, and swine.[2]
