Nikoloudes (Νικολούδες) Samos
Nikoloudes is a settlement of Samos. It is located at an altitude of 400 meters next to the slopes of Mount Kastri, in NW Samos [4].
It was founded by a man Nikolou, Who was a shepherd and built a hut to look after his animals. Then others started building huts and living around.
Nikoloudes are located on the road between the villages of Leka and Kosmadaioi, in an environment with green and running water. [5] Characteristic are the cobbled streets, the traditional buildings of houses and some huts. The centuries-old plane tree located at the edge of the village also causes a sensation. The economy is mainly based on livestock and agriculture. Agriculture is based on olives and olive oil and vineyards with some of their derivatives (wine, raisins, etc.).
In the village there is still an old laundry which, according to scratches it has at one point, was built in the 16th century AD.
