Latas (Λάτας) Ilia

Latas is a settlement (altitude 155 m. [1]) of the Prefecture of Ilia. Administratively it belongs to the Municipal Unit of Pineia of the Kallikratis Municipality of Ilida [2] [3].

It is almost a lakeside village, near the shores of the artificial lake of Pinios. The inhabitants of the village are mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. In the village there is the Church of Agios Nikolaos and the small church of Profitis Ilias outside Latas.
