Krinias is a settlement of 16 inhabitants (2011 census) [1] at an altitude of 147 meters [2], in the northeast of the island of Corfu on the slopes of Mount Pantokrator. It is about 6.5 km from the seaside resort of Acharavi. [3] Together with the settlements of Perithia (3 km), Agios Ilias (232 km), Vathi (17 km), Vasilika (20 km), Vouni (37 km), Karnaris (12 km), Pelekiton (126) k.), Perulion (39 k.), Pithos (26 k.) and Riliatika (32 k.) is the local community of Peritheia (560 k.) of the municipal unit of Tinali in the municipality of Corfu.

Administrative changes
In 1940, according to the census, the settlement of Krinia was recognized and annexed to the community of Perithia based in the settlement of Perithia. [11] [4]
In 1989, the community of Peritheia, together with the communities of Agios Panteleimonos, Lafkiou, Petalia, Episkpegse, Loutsa and Sfakeron, came together to form the municipality of Tinali, based in the settlement of Acharavi. Thus, the settlement of Krinia belongs administratively to the municipality of Thinali. [12] [13]
In 2010, with the implementation of the Kallikratis program (law 3852/2010), the settlement is separated from the municipality of Thinali, which is abolished and annexed to the municipality of Corfu. [14]
Today the settlement of Krinia, together with the settlements of Perithia (3 kg), Agios Ilias (232 kg), Vathi (17 kg), Vasilika (20 kg), Vouni (37 kg), Karniaris (12 kg). ), Pelekiton (126 k.), Peroulion (39 k.), Pithos (26 k.) And Riliatika (32 k.) Constitute the local community of Perithia (560 k.) Of the municipal unit of Thinali of the municipality of Corfu.
