Kostos (Κώστος) Paros
Kostos Parou is a Mediterranean village on the island of Paros. It is located on the route Parikia - Lefkes Paros. In 1958 it had 450 inhabitants and belonged to Naoussa Paros. According to the 2001 census, it had a population of 235. Today it is the seat of a homonymous municipal district to which Hysterni and Marathi belong.
Kostos has been famous for its agricultural products for a long time. It is the birthplace of Athanasios of Paris [1]. A special attraction of the area is the ancient marble quarries, of the ancient so-called "Paria litho".
