Koronisia (Κορωνησία) Arta
Koronisia is a village in the Arta Regional Unit in the Amvrakikos Gulf, with 167 permanent residents (2011 census) and is about 25 km from the city of Arta. [1] It is located on the small island of Pera Island, which is known as Koronisia.
According to the Kapodistrias Plan, Koronisia was from 1997 to the end of 2010 a part of the Municipality of Amvrakikos based in Aneza. Based on the new administrative division provided by the Kallikratis Plan, Koronisia joined the Municipality of Arta. [2]
Demographics
Today the population is 167 permanent residents (2011 census), showing a decrease compared to the 2001 census, where the population was 192 inhabitants. [3]

Production and employment
The main inhabitants of the settlement are fishing and tourism.
Local hagiology
Saint Onoufrios in Koronisia. Little is known about the life of Saint Onoufrios. He lived in a monastery on the island of Koronisia. There is no exact information about his death. His memory is commemorated on June 12 with Saint Onoufrios of Egypt and is considered the patron saint of Coronation. [5]
