Kazanaiika (Καζαναίικα) Aitoloakarnania

Kazanaiika is a semi-mountainous village in the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 80 meters [1] which is located south of Lake Trichonida and west of the Evinos River. It is 38.5 km SE. from Agrinio and 34 km NE. from Messolonghi. As a settlement, it is officially mentioned in the Greek censuses from 1928 as Kazaneika that it belongs to the then community of Mesaristis. Its name was changed to Casanica in 1940. [2] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Mesarista, Paradisi and Tsiligiannaika are the local community of Mesaristis that belongs to the municipal unit of Makrineia of the municipality of Agrinio and according to the 2011 census has 42 inhabitants.
