Kato Makrinou (Κάτω Μακρινού) Aitoloakarnania
Kato Makrinou (Greek: meaning "Lower Makrinou") is a village in the municipal unit of Makryneia, Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. I It is located in a valley southeast of Lake Trichonida. It is 2 km northeast of Makrinou, 10 km southeast of Gavalou and 20 km northwest of Naupactus.
As a settlement, it is officially mentioned in the Greek censuses from 1920 as Kato Makrynou. It was renamed Kato Makrinou in 1940. [2] According to the Kallikratis program, it is the local community of Kato Makrinos that belongs to the municipal unit of Makrineia of the municipality of Agrinio and according to the 2011 census it has 580 inhabitants. [3]
