Kapnofyto is a semi-mountainous village in Central Macedonia in the Regional Unit of Serres with an altitude of 440 meters. [1] It is 17 km NE. from Sidirokastro and 19 km D.-BD. (dirt road) from the Lailias Ski Center. Until 1929 the village was called Chervista. [2] According to the Kallikratis plan, it is the local community of Kapnofyto that belongs to the municipal unit of Achladochori of the Municipality of Sintiki and according to the 2011 census has a population of 181 inhabitants. [3]
