In 1928, the census identified and annexed the Sagri community. [16]
In 1997, with the implementation of the Kapodistrias program (law 2539/97), the settlement was annexed to the municipality of Naxos. [17] Specifically, with the Kapodistrias program, it belonged to the Municipal Department of Sagri, the Municipality of Naxos, the prefecture of Cyclades, to the geographical department of the Aegean Islands. [15]
In 2010, with the implementation of the Kallikratis program (law 3852/2010), the settlement was annexed to the newly established municipality of Naxos & Small Cyclades. [18]
Today, after the last change of 2010 (Kallikratis program), together with the settlements of Ano Sagri (210 k.), Kastraki (158 k.), Kato Sagri (27 k.) And Mikri Vigla (93 k.) It constitutes the Local Community of Sagri (537 k.). The so-called Potamias belongs to the Municipal Unit of Naxos, the municipality of Naxos and the Small Cyclades, the regional unit of Naxos (the former prefecture of Cyclades), in the region of South Aegean.
