Kalania (Καλάνια) Fokida
Kalania is a settlement of Parnassida in the prefecture of Fokida and is located north of Delphi. They are 23 km N. from Eptalofos and 35 km from Delphi, through the route Arachova - Kalyvia Arachova [1]. Their name comes from the homonymous plateau on which the houses of the settlement are built. In the area, from the beginning of the 19th century, there were the huts of the inhabitants of Delphi who cultivated wheat, poppy and raised horses. To the west there is the chapel of Prophet Elias [2]. The international European path E4 passes through the village: Delphi - Kalania - Agoriani (Eptalofos) [3]. As a settlement, Kalania was first recognized in 2001 and annexed to the then local Delphi district. According to the Kallikratis plan, since 2011, together with Delphi and Kroki, they constitute the municipal community of Delphi, which belongs to the municipal unit of Delphi of the Municipality of Delphi and according to the 2011 census has a population of 59 inhabitants.
