Ioniki Akti (Ιονική Ακτή) Achaia
Ioniki Akti (Ionian Coast ) is a low-lying coastal settlement of the Prefecture of Achaia, it is part of the Local Community of Lakkopetra, and according to the "Kallicratis Program" from 1/1/2011 it belongs to the Municipality of Western Achaia[2][3].
Location
The settlement of Ioniki Akti is located in a low-lying area, close to the sea, in the area of the coast of the same name[4], part of which is the popular beach "Grinitsa" which is located very close to its northwest, and southeast of the area of Mavris Mytis[4 ]. Close to the settlement is the capital village of Lakkopetra, the other settlements of the Local Community of Lakkopetra, i.e. Karnaki and Limanaki, as well as the neighboring seaside settlement of Paralia Kalamaki[4].
It is less than 3 km from the main settlement of Lakkopetra, while it is at an altitude of 1 to 70 meters.
Administrative development
The Ioniki Akti is a relatively new settlement as it was recognized as such on 04/05/1981, when it was included in the then Community of Lakkopetra[2][5][6][7]. In the period 1997-2010, based on the "Kapodistrias Plan", it belonged to the former Municipality of Larissa (Larissou) as part of the former Municipal District of Lakkopetra[2][5][6][8].

Other information
Ioniki Akti is essentially a modern holiday settlement with a number of holiday homes for the residents of Patras, the wider area etc., which developed around the hotel unit of the same name[7].
