Germa is a village in the region of the Municipality of Itylos in the prefecture of Laconia, which is today a homonymous municipal district. It is located near the carriage road of Gythio - Itilo. In fact, it consists of many settlements that are separated from each other by rural areas. In 1928 it had a population of 203. In the last census it numbered 31 inhabitants. Germa's climate is considered relatively healthy. It has many springs with plenty of water from which it is irrigated.
During the Turkish occupation, very close to Germa, there was a flourishing village called "Kaliazi", whose church of Metamorphosis, which is an old Christian building, survives.
