Chersonesus or Chersonesos (Ancient Greek: Χερσόνησος) was a town on the west coast of ancient Crete, nearly directly opposite Cyrenaica.[1]

The site of Chersonesus is located near modern Cape Karavoutas or Koutoulos.[2][3]
