Akridaiika (Ακριδαίικα) Aitoloakarnania
Akridaiika is an uninhabited mountain village of the regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 500 meters [1], which is located on the border with the Peripheral Unit of Evrytania, south of the artificial lake Kremasta [2].
General elements
Akridaiika is 48.5 km (driving) B.-VA. from Agrinio and 7 km N-NEW from the Episkopi bridge that connects Evrytania with Aitoloakarnania. At the southern end of the village passes the EP Karpenisi - Agrinio. As a settlement it is officially mentioned in 1971 to be listed in the then community of Sideron [3]. According to the Kallikratis program, together with Agios Vasileios and charavgi, they constitute the local community of Sidiron which belongs to the municipal unit of Parakampylia of the municipality of Agrinio and according to the 2011 census has no permanent residents [4].
