Agios Nikolaos Marmaritis is a very small church (4.18 m x 3.59 m) in the entrance of the village Emporio . It was ia grave monument of the 3rd c. BC who was transformed into a christian church. It is dedicated to St. Nikolaos and due to the grey marble it was named Marmaritis ("of the Marble", from the greek word marmaro for marble)
In the interior is an altar with ionic columns supporting a Doric architrave which was used to place a sculpture of the goddess Basileia according to an inscription .
