Agios Georgios or San Giorgio (Greek: Άγιος Γεώργιος) is a Greek uninhabited island in the entry of Saronic Gulf.
Island of Agios Gewrgios Layrewtikhs (Θανάσης Χριστοδούλου)
It is the largest uninhabited island of the Saronic Islands with an area of 4.3 km2.[1] In antiquity the island was named Velvina (Belbina) and it is mentioned by Herodotus in a dialogue between Themistocles and his political opponent Timodemos from Afidnes.[2] The island belongs to Lavreotiki municipality. The last years there are plans about a construction of wind power park on the island.[1]
