Raised in Germany and knowing German and Greek culture there are similar films and comedians in Germany and Greece in the Fifties and Sixties. The old black and white films actually were more theatrical comedies. Who could afford Hollywood like productions with monumental films?

I was lucky to be a witness of Mobile Cinemas: Since there were no permanent cinema theaters outside cities like Athens or Thessaloniki the mobile cinemas used to cruise through smaller towns and settlements in Greece. In restaurants or at open spaces maybe once in a month a film was shown.
