Kannavia (Greek : Καννάβια ) is a community in the Nicosia District of Cyprus. Kannavia is a mountain village (alt. c 800 m) 52 km SW of Nicosia. The village exists since the period of the Francs. It is mentioned as Cannania. The main church of the village is Panagia tis Theotokou, part of a monastery destroyed in the 18th century.
