In the old days, the inhabitants of the community were engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. In addition, because silkworms were abundant in the area due to the cultivation of many mulberry trees, many residents engaged in silk production. In addition, there was a silk factory in the area.
In addition, hemp was cultivated or grown in the village. Hemp fibers were a raw material in the textile industry and in the manufacture of rope, as well as other materials. However, hemp cultivation was banned and the silk factory was closed down.
