The bucket of this digger is operated via the release of the balance weight. The large rocking half-wheel helps lift the excavating bucket and lower the balance weight. The operation is repeated until the bucket digs down into the ditch. Then the digger is hauled to a new position for excavating a new stretch.

Εκσκαφέας Τάφρων.

Ο κάδος αυτού του εκσκαφέα λειτουργεί μέσω της απελευθέρωσης του βάρους ισορροπίας. Ο μεγάλος κινητός ημιτροχός, βοηθά στην ανύψωση του κάδου εκσκαφής, χαμηλώνοντας ταυτόχρονα το βάρος ισορροπίας. Η λειτουργία επαναλαμβάνεται έως ότου ο κάδος σκάψει μέχρι κάτω το χαντάκι. Μετά, ο εκσκαφέας μεταφέρεται σε νέα θέση για εκσκαφή νέας έκτασης.
