Peter Gottland: Peter G., actually Peter Rodelstet of Gotland, in 1550; German painter, engraver and perhaps trimmer. Bartsch knew six engravings formed with the P and G monogram, which he described in his Peintre-engraver; the importance of Monogrammes he was not sure and it was Ch. Schuchardt reserved from documents, which he found in Weimar, to discover the artist, who was hidden under the said monogram so long. And after the artist appears, sometimes also called Meister Peter, since 1548 as a painter in Weimar.
