Ambrogio, Genoa; Genoa, Palazzo Gentile, 1733; London, Benjamin Van der Gucht, 1796; his sale, London, Christie's, 12 Mar. 1796, lot 75 ('Rubens Ð St. Ignatius attired in his priestly habit, in the attitude of ecstacy and inspired devotion; Rubens has treated this subject in a grand stile, the colouring truly harmonious, and painted with a spiritedand flowing pencil').
