Luis Tristán de Escamilla, also Luis Rodríguez Tristán (1586–1624) was a Spanish painter.
Tristán was born and died in Toledo. He became an assistant of El Greco between 1603 and 1607; Tristán's later works were influenced by his master. One of his most important paintings is an altar image in the church of Yepes (1616) as well as The Adoration of the Magi (now at the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest), San Luis repartiendo limosna (now at the Louvre) and La ronda del pan y del huevo (Museo de Santa Cruz), Toledo.
Diego Velázquez proclaimed himself a follower of Tristán.[1]
