Lluis Rigalt i Farriols (1814 in Barcelona - 1894 in Barcelona) was a Spanish painter. Rigalt is considered the first natural landscape-painter in Catalonia and, therefore, the precursor of a school that included such important figures as Martí Alsina and Joaquim Vayreda i Vila. Rigalt came from a family of artists; his father Pablo Rigalt was also a painter. He studied in the Escola de la Llotja in Barcelona and in Madrid in the circle of Jenaro Pérez Villaamil.
