Julie Hart Beers
Julie Hart Beers ( 1835-1913), also known as Julia Hart Beers and Julia Hart Beers Kempson. American painter. She changed her name from Julia to Julie sometime before 1853.
In 1857, Beers and her two daughters moved from Albany to Brooklyn, after the death of her first husband George Washington Beers. Later Beers moved to her own studio in the Dodsworth Building in Manhattan
She exhibited her work at the National Academy of Design, the Brooklyn Art Association, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Boston Athenaeum.
