Precisely with these themes and technique are defined the art and style of Pallares that will lavish until the last years of his life with economic success and obvious demonstration of virtuosity. The keys that explain his permanent dedication to this type of painting are in his initial learning in Madrid next to Vicente Palmaroli, connoisseur and cultivator of the style of Fortuny, in the later tie to the dealer Goupil, main promoter of the works of Fortuny, And in the same artistic environment that opportunely lived Pallares during his stays in Paris and Rome.
It can be said that Aragonese painters have been the most qualified representative of "fortunyism" as a pictorial style, whose main quality lies in the luminous color applied by Pallares with tiny and delicate brush strokes.
