Jean-Richard Goubie, born in 1842 in Paris and died in the same city in 1889, was a French animal and landscape painter .
Biography
Jean-Richard Goubie was a pupil of Jean-Léon Gérôme at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
In 1869, he exhibited his works at the Paris Salon until his death. He quickly found success with his relay to Wood who towards animal painting.
These numerous paintings evoke very green country landscapes and flowers, in which usually evolve where free horses mounted by elegant riders or riders of aristocratic or bourgeois world. Nature is serene and omnipresent.
