Fausto Giusto
Fausto Giusto (Naples, 1867 - Zurich, 1941) was an Italian painter with an international career.
He painted cityscapes in Bern, St. Moritz, Naples, Ostend, Paris and elsewhere as well as genre scenes, usually gallant scenes with wealthy aristocrats set in the 18th century.
Of his stay in Ostend faces in gouache known are the seafront, Arm Square and the Leopold II avenue. His cityscapes lean towards the style of Eugène Galien-Laloue (1854-1941). Many of his paintings were also transformed into etchings.
His works regularly achieve decent prices at auctions. Thus, in November 1997, oil on canvas "The Parade" auctioned on £ 5,750 at Christie's in London. [1]
