Charles Alexandre Giron (born April 2, 1850 in Geneva, Switzerland, June 9, 1914 in Genthod) was a Swiss figure and landscape painter.

After Giron had begun a lesson as enamel, he stoped and took classes with François Diday and Barthélemy Menn. In 1872 he moved to Paris, where he worked in the Alexandre Cabanel studio and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. From 1876 he exhibited his works at the Salon de Paris. Giron mainly devoted himself to landscaping and portraits. He lived in Cannes, England, Belgium and the Netherlands. In the international upper class, he was a highly esteemed painter because of his elegant style. In 1887 he received the Belgian Leopold Order, a year later he was admitted to the French honorary legion.

In 1896 Giron returned to Switzerland and subsequently lived in several places on Lake Geneva. Three times he belonged to the Federal Commission of Art; From 1898 to 1900, from 1903 to 1905, and from 1909 to 1912. His best-known work is the 1904-painted wall The cradle of the Confederation in the National Council Hall of the Bundeshauses in Berne.

In Geneva, a street and a school are named after Charles Giron.
