Andreas Alariesto, (December 11.1900 Riesto - November 29.1989 Sodankylä) was a Finnish painter from Sompio, Lapland who worked in the naivistic style. He also made miniatures and sculptures about miniatures and also was a photographer.
He didn't receive any formal artistic training. Alariesto became famous in the 1970's with a increase in the popularity of naivism. His first formal show was in Helsinki and Rovaniemi in 1976 when the artist was 75 years old.
