Albert de Belleroche (1864 - 14 July 1944) was a Welsh painter and lithographer.[1] He was born in Swansea, but raised in Paris by his mother, Alice (originally from Brussels), and his stepfather, Harry Vane Millbank[2] (his father, Edward Charles, the Marquis de Belleroche, having died whilst he was in infancy). In the 1930s he presented the National Museum of Wales with a small collection of his works, he also presented collections to the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, the Bibliothèque Royale, Brussels, and the British Museum in London.[3] In 1915 he devised a method of detecting forged watermarks.
