The chamber tombs at Spata were used for local rulers
who were buried with the objects that they used
during their earthly life and which declared their
social standing, such as jewellery and weapons
The boar's tusk helmet, a basic armour component, is
considered a Mycenaean invention
According to the Iliad, boar's tusk helmets consisted of a leather
hood with felt lining on which vertical slices of boar's tursks were sewn
