Donated by the Kyriazis family. It was probably found in a grave in Marathon
and had been used as a funerary urn.
Helen's first abduction by Theseus: Theseus is leading Helen to the chariot
already prepared by Peirithoos. At the right, Phoibe, Helen's sister, sees
her off.
Over the figures, inscriptions, once painted in white, are discernible
ΘΕΣΕΥΣ, ΗΕΛΕΝΕ, ΠΕΙΡΙ(Θ)ΟΣ, ΦΟΙΒΑ
