Stekoula (Στεκούλα) Aitoloakarnania

Stekoula is a mountainous settlement in the Regional Unit of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 867 meters [1]. It is located on the border with the Regional Unit of Evrytania and north of Lake Trichonida and is. It is 25.5 km W. from Agrinio, 12.5 km NW. from Thermo and 3 km. (driving) D. from Makra Longa. It has been officially reported as a settlement since 1991 to be recorded in the then Spartan community. According to the Kallikratis program, together with Spartia, Makra Longa and Strigania, they constitute the local community of Spartia, which belongs to the municipal unit of Paravola in the municipality of Agrinio and according to the 2011 census has a population of 21 inhabitants.
