Rachi is a lowland village in the northeast of Corfu with an altitude of 100 meters [1] at a distance of 29 km (driving) N. from the city of Corfu and 18 km S-SE from Acharavi. It is built in an area overgrown with trees overlooking the East Passage and the mountains of Albania. The provincial road Corfu - Kassiopi passes through the village and is between Gimari (SW) and Vlahatika (NE). Its old name is Lustri and so it is officially mentioned in 1932 in Government Gazette 253A - 08/08/1932 when it was detached from the then community of Sinia and annexed to the community of Gimari. In 1963 with the Government Gazette 16A - 09/02/1963 it was renamed to Rachi [2]. According to the Kallikratis plan and after its amendment in 2019 [3], together with Gimari, Vlahatika, Kavalleraina, Kalami, Kentroma and Plagia, they constitute the local community of Gimari that belongs to the municipal unit of Kassopaion of the municipality of North Corfu. and according to the 2011 census has 34 inhabitants [4].
