Lakkes (Λάκκες) Aitoloakarnania

Lakkes, officially Lakkai, is an uninhabited semi-mountainous village of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 280 meters [1], which is located on the border with Evritania and south of the artificial lake of Kremasta. They are 47 km B.-V. from Agrinio. As a settlement, it has been included in the Greek censuses since 1940 as part of the then community of Hounis [2]. According to the Kallikratis program, together with the neighboring villages of Rio, Skiadaika, Basdounaika, Paleochoria, Houni, Paleochouni and Loutra, they constitute the local community of Houni which belongs to the municipal unit of Parakambylion of Agrinio municipality and according to the 2011 census has a population of 18 inhabitants. 3]
