    Historical data

The place name is Andronymiko and means the village of Karavados. So the writing of Karavado is considered more correct. It is not mentioned in the Venetian censuses, nor in Kastrofylakas in 1583. In the 1881 census the village is mentioned with 89 Christian inhabitants. The inhabitants arrived after 1630 according to the oral tradition of the village from the settlement "Voulgara", "Voulgaro" and "Voulgara" as recorded in the Venetian censuses.
