Kalogerorrachi is a village in the Municipality of Messina, belongs to the Regional Unit of Messinia [1] and has 179 inhabitants, according to the 2011 Census. [2]

Location

Kalogerorrachi belongs to the Community of Kalogerorrachi, belongs to the Municipal Unit of Androusa, of the Municipality of Messina and is located at an altitude of [3] 197 meters. [4]

Naos Zoodochou Pigis Samarina

Near Kalogerorrachi is the Life-Giving Spring of Samarina. It is a Byzantine monument, built on the ruins of an ancient temple in the 12th century. Inside it has wonderful murals and remarkable flooring. It is part of the Monastery of Vulcano and celebrates the Friday of Diakainisimos. [5]

07-06-2010, the settlement of Kalogerorrachi is detached from the Municipality of Androusis and annexed to the Municipality of Messina. [12]
