Exo Potamoi is a village and seat of the homonymous Community of the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos in the Regional Unit of Lasithi of Crete. It belonged to the Lassithi Province. It is located in a large mountain valley at an altitude of 850 meters and on the Neapoleos - Oropedi Lasithi provincial road. It is 20 kilometers from Neapoli and 25 kilometers from Agios Nikolaos.
Community Exo Potamoi
In addition to its headquarters, the Community of Exo Potamoi also includes the settlements of Argyro Nero, Mesa Potamoi and Roussakiana. The 2011 census states:

In total the community has 43 inhabitants.
