Agios Theodoros is a mountainous settlement in the regional unit of Aitoloakarnania in the area of Thermos at an altitude of 710 meters [1] [2], which is located on the border of the prefecture with Evrytania. To the east of the village flows the torrent Gidomantritis that ends in the river Evinos. It is 56 km A.- NE. from Agrinio and 27 km NE. from Thermo [3]. Its old name was Mahalas and so it was annexed in 1845 to the then municipality of Amvrakia while in 1954 it was renamed Agios Theodoros. According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Kokkinovrysi and Ampelia, they constitute the local Community of Kokkinovrysi, which belongs to the municipality of Thermo and according to the 2011 census has a population of 65 permanent residents [5].
