Walter Duncan was a British painter. He was born in 1848 in London, He died in 1932 in Richmond, London.[1]

He completed his early studies in the family with his father Edward Duncan. His father was a member of the "Royal Society of Watercolours" in London.

In 1871 he married Harriet Charlotte Florence Pigott née Condy (1846-1880), the daughter of the painter Nicholas Matthews Condy and his wife Flora Ross née Gallie (1822-1900).

He lived in London, then later in Surrey.

Duncan expressed himself with drawing, pastels, watercolor and oil.
