Legend of St Stephen

Mariotto di Nardo (active 1394–1424) was a Florentine painter. He was the son of the sculptor Nardo di Cione.[2]

His style belongs to the Florentine Gothic, and shows the influence of Spinello Aretino and Lorenzo Monaco. He worked at the Duomo of Florence, at the church of Santa Maria Maggiore and at the Orsanmichele.

In 1400 he worked with Lorenzo Ghiberti on an altarpiece for Pesaro.[3]
